NY Jets vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Best Bets for Week 16
By Justin Fried
The NY Jets are preparing for a Thursday night matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars this week in what is, for all intents and purposes, a must-win game for Gang Green.
The Jets have lost three consecutive games to fall to 7-7 on the outside looking in at the AFC playoff race. For their playoff dreams to stay alive, they can ill afford a loss on Thursday.
As for the Jaguars, they're one of the hottest teams in football having won three of their last four to surge to a 6-8 record, one game behind the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South.
Thursday's game will be crucial for the playoff hopes of both teams. Let's take a look at three of the best bets you can make this week. All odds are courtesy of FanDuel.

Best NY Jets Bets Week 16
Garrett Wilson OVER 59.5 receiving yards (-114)
Garrett Wilson may not have quite the same chemistry with Zach Wilson that he does with the Jets' other two quarterbacks, but he still managed to put together a productive day on Sunday.
The rookie wide receiver finished with four catches for 98 yards including a pair of important grabs in the fourth quarter. The targets were there as well as Wilson was targeted a team-leading nine times on the day.
It's difficult to trust any receiver in this Jets offense right now, but I'm willing to take a chance on Garrett Wilson. As long as he gets his targets (and some of them are on target), Wilson should be able to top 60 yards on Thursday.
Trevor Lawrence OVER 14.5 rushing yards (-102)
The Jets have shown to be susceptible to rushing yards from quarterbacks this season and Trevor Lawrence might not be an exception. Lawrence has more than enough mobility to escape pressure and create plays with his legs.
The second-year quarterback has topped 15 rushing yards in seven of his last 10 games and faces an appealing matchup against a Jets team in Week 16.
The Jets struggle to contain quarterbacks on the ground given how much man coverage they run on defense. On top of that, their linebackers and safeties have struggled to make tackles in open space.
This feels like the safest bet of the three on this list. If trends continue, there's no reason why Lawrence shouldn't finish with at least 15 rushing yards.
Trevor Lawrence UNDER 214.5 passing yards (-114)
Lawrence has thrown for at least 300 yards in three of his last four games, but he faces a completely different animal in Week 16. The Jets are coming off an impressive defensive performance in which they allowed just one touchdown to arguably the best offense in football.
And that touchdown only came courtesy of a busted coverage on 4th-and-inches. Lawrence and this Jaguars offense are for real, but the Jets' cornerbacks have proven time and time again that they're up to the challenge.
The passing prop of 214.5 is rather low, a sign that the oddsmakers really respect this Jets' secondary. Still, Lawrence has thrown for under 200 yards on a handful of occasions this season, and Thursday night feels like a prime opportunity for that to happen again.
It's a little risky, but I'd take the under here.
