The NY Jets will be a little shorthanded when they play host to the Denver Broncos in Week 4 today. Both teams are fresh off one-sided victories over their opponents a week ago and will look to carry over that momentum into today's game.
The Jets took care of business against a stingy New England Patriots team on Thursday Night Football, improving to 2-1 on the season ahead of a Broncos matchup they absolutely should be winning.
Their opponents, however, are riding a wave of momentum after stomping the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the tune of a 26-7 beatdown last Sunday. Denver is hoping to pull off another road upset here today.
Rookie quarterback Bo Nix is still in search of his first NFL passing touchdown while Aaron Rodgers is hoping to continue his hot start to the season. He's thrown for five touchdowns and just one interception (a tipped pass) on 67% completion so far in 2024.
The Jets have ruled out one player, starting right tackle Morgan Moses, while linebacker C.J. Mosley is listed as doubtful with a toe injury. Don't expect him to play, either. The Broncos have ruled out backup safety JL Skinner with an ankle injury.
Who are the official inactives for both the Jets and the Broncos today? We've got you covered.
Full inactives list for NY Jets in Week 4
- RB Israel Abanikanda
- CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse
- DT Leonard Taylor III
- OT Carter Warren
- OT Morgan Moses
- LB C.J. Mosley
- DE Braiden McGregor
The Jets will be without two key starters in today's game against the Broncos. Right tackle Morgan Moses has been ruled out with a knee injury that is expected to sideline him for the next few weeks.
Moses suffered an MCL sprain in the Jets' Week 3 win over the Patriots and while he isn't expected to be placed on the injured reserve, he will be out for the next two or three games. Rookie first-round pick Olu Fashanu will start in his place. Max Mitchell is active for the first time this season.
C.J. Mosley is also out for his second consecutive game after suffering a toe injury in the first quarter of Week 2. Jamien Sherwood has stepped up and impressed in Mosley's absence, starting alongside Quincy Williams.
The Jets elevated linebacker Marcelino McCrary-Ball from the practice squad for a second consecutive week. He replaces Mosley's spot on the game-day roster while Chazz Surratt fills in as the third linebacker in the base defense.
The Jets also elevated defensive tackle Bruce Hector from the practice squad, mixing up the defensive line rotation today. Leonard Taylor III is inactive to make room for Hector. Eric Watts is also active for the first time over fellow rookie Braiden McGregor.

- QB Zach Wilson (emergency third QB)
- S JL Skinner
- WR Devaughn Vele
- RB Blake Watson
- CB Kris Abrams-Draine

Only one Broncos player has been ruled out due to injury — backup safety and core special-teamer JL Skinner. Skinner will miss his second consecutive game with an ankle injury.
Former Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is also a healthy scratch as the Broncos' emergency third quarterback. He is technically eligible to play today if both Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham were to suffer injuries.
