NY Jets inactives list for Week 2 game against Titans (D.J. Reed status revealed)
By Justin Fried
The NY Jets are less than two hours away from an important Week 2 matchup with the Tennessee Titans. Both teams are hoping to secure their first win of the season following disappointing performances a week ago.
The Jets were soundly defeated by the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football in Week 1, losing by a final score of 32-19 in a game that was never as close as the scoreline would indicate.
The Titans fell short against the Chicago Bears, losing 24-17 in a game where their opponents didn't score a single offensive touchdown. The pressure is on for both teams to avoid an 0-2 start to their respective campaigns.
While the Jets may be 3.5-point road favorites, they're going to need a better performance than what they put forth in Week 1 if they're going to win their first game of the season.
Who are the official inactives for both the Jets and the Titans today? We've got you covered.

The Jets' inactive list for Week 2 looks similar to their list from a week ago. The only differences are that tight end Brenden Bates is active, as veteran tight end Anthony Firkser was not elevated from the practice squad for this game, and that cornerback D.J. Reed is inactive.
Reed was listed as questionable to play with a knee injury entering the game, and while head coach Robert Saleh told reporters just two days ago that his star cornerback would be able to play, evidently that isn't the case.
This means Jarrick Bernard-Converse is active this week after he was a healthy scratch in Week 1. Brandin Echols is expected to start in Reed's place, but we could also see the likes of Bernard-Converse or Qwan'Tez Stiggers.
Offensive linemen Max Mitchell and Carter Warren are inactive for a second consecutive week. Olu Fashanu is the Jets' only backup tackle, while Xavier Newman and Jake Hanson are the backup interior linemen again.
Undrafted rookies Leonard Taylor III and Eric Watts will have to wait at least another week to make their NFL debuts. The Jets elevated Jalyn Holmes from the practice squad and will roll with the same defensive line rotation they did last week.

The Titans did not enter this game with a single player on their injury report, meaning Tennessee will be at close to full strength for this week's games.
The most notable change from last week is that safety Jamal Adams is off the injury report after missing Week 1 with a hip injury. Adams was a full participant in practice all week and will make his Titans debut against his former team.
