Start: Boston Scott, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
Boston Scott is the lead back for the Eagles right now with Miles Sanders still banged up and not at full fitness. Scott had an opportunity share of more than 30 percent four times in the last five games.
He was able to use this four times for more than 40 rushing yards and scored three rushing touchdowns. Opposing him is the Jets' slightly improved but still weak run defense. That defense has allowed two rushing touchdowns and 26.3 fantasy points per game to running backs over the last three weeks.
Start: DeVonta Smith, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
While the rookie wide receiver only had four targets for two receptions and 22 yards in the last game, he scored three touchdowns in the three games before that and always saw at least six targets. This should look similar against the Jets' weak pass defense.
The Jets have allowed three touchdowns and 42.9 fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the last three weeks. That gives the Jets the fourth-weakest pass defense in the league over the last three weeks.
DeVonta Smith should therefore be a must-start for you.
Sit: Tevin Coleman, RB, NY Jets
You'd think in the absence of Michael Carter, the Jets' other running backs would flourish a bit. That was not the case against the Texans. Tevin Coleman had 16 rushing attempts for 67 yards. However, he did not score a touchdown. Austin Walter scored that one.
The Eagles' run defense has been among the four best defenses in the league over the last three weeks. No rushing touchdowns allowed in those three games and only 16.9 fantasy points allowed per game for running backs suggest Coleman should be parked on the bench this week.
