NY Jets draft picks 2023: Every selection Gang Green has in the 2023 NFL Draft
By Justin Fried
The NY Jets are preparing for what might prove to be a pivotal 2023 NFL Draft. Following last year's triumphant success in the draft, the Jets are hoping to follow that up with another strong class in 2023.
That might be easier said than done, but if the Jets are truly going to compete this season, they might need Joe Douglas and company to put together another excellent draft class.
While the Jets likely won't pick three times in the first round, as they did a year ago, they should have enough draft capital to plug the holes on their roster. That includes three projected top-50 picks, at least at the time of writing.
It's certainly very possible that the Jets make another trade before or during the 2023 NFL Draft. If Aaron Rodgers is dealt before Friday, the expectation is that the Jets will send one of their two second-round picks to Green Bay in return.
It wouldn't be the first time the Jets traded 2023 draft capital. They sent their third-round pick to the Cleveland Browns last month in the Elijah Moore trade that also brought them an extra second-round pick.
The following list is updated as of Sunday, Apr. 23. Here is a list of all six picks the Jets currently possess in the 2023 NFL Draft.
How many picks do the NY Jets have in the 2023 NFL Draft?
- Round 1, 15th overall
- Round 2, 43rd overall
- Round 4, 112th overall
- Round 5, 143rd overall
- Round 5, 170th overall
The Jets are set to pick three times within the first 43 selections, although that could change if the team trades one of those picks away in an Aaron Rodgers deal.
Barring a trade-down/trade-up, the Jets also don't have any picks between No. 43 and No. 112 overall. With only six picks (and three top 100 picks), it's possible the Jets consider trading down to secure more draft capital.
