NY Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will never be the most universally liked player in the NFL. If anything, Rodgers' antics (for lack of a better term) have garnered him plenty of haters over the years.

From his outspoken commentary about all sorts of conversations to his contentious attitude and demeanor, Rodgers has his fair share of detractors out there. None more so than fans of the teams he's tormented over the years.

Take WWE superstar Seth Rollins for example. Rollins and fellow wrestler Becky Lynch made an appearance on ESPN's First Take on Tuesday, where they were tasked with naming the five biggest heels — or bad guys — in the sports world.

The fifth spot on the list belonged to an individual Jets fans know very well, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. Belichick wasn't the only notable Jets-related figure on the list, however.

Rollins and Lynch ranked Rodgers as the No. 1 heel in the entire sports world. It should be noted that Rollins is famously a fan of the Chicago Bears, so as he explains in the below video, this one was personal to him.

While Rollins might be a little biased in his assessment, he's not alone. In fact, a study released in March of 2022 had Rodgers as the NFL's most hated figure by a landslide, beating out the likes of Antonio Brown, Belichick, Odell Beckham, Deshaun Watson, and even Jackson Mahomes.

This was during the peak of Rodgers' controversy. His ongoing drama with the Green Bay Packers, coupled with his controversial comments about vaccines, certainly contributed to the rise in hate he received.

Of course, Rodgers has shown time and time again that he doesn't particularly care if others like him. If anything, he seems to use that as motivation.

Jets fans likely won't mind, either. After all, Tom Brady has regularly ranked among the most hated figures in sports for the last two decades. That never seemed to affect his success on the field.

Aaron Rodgers has his haters, but if he helps lead the Jets to glory at any point in the future, he'll be forever worshipped by this fan base.
