The NY Jets are coming off an offseason that featured plenty of roster turnover. Following a 2-14 season a year ago, general manager Joe Douglas and the Jets front office determined that mass change was necessary.

The coaching staff was overhauled, the roster was renovated, and the entire direction of the organization was altered.

Such was always going to be the case after the failed Adam Gase era came to an end after just two woeful years.

But given the current state of the franchise, it's clear that there's still plenty of work to be done. Another offseason of overhaul should be expected.

The Jets currently sit at 1-5 with an embarrassing 54-13 loss to the New England Patriots in their rearview mirror. That game was proof that this team is nowhere close to competing.

Douglas will continue to overhaul the roster this offseason, ridding the team of a number of veterans on expiring contracts. And the following five players are very likely to be a part of that mass overhaul.
