The NY Jets are about a week into their 2021 training camp schedule. And while it's still early, enough time has passed that a few players have begun to emerge from the pack as notable standouts.

For some of these standouts, success was to be expected.

Elijah Moore has been the star of the show this offseason and he's continued his incredible performance this summer. But he was a second-round pick who the Jets were expecting would make an immediate impact.

His success is hardly a surprise.

The same could be said for someone like Carl Lawson. Lawson was the Jets' big-ticket free-agent signing this offseason — they're paying him $45 million to be an elite pass rusher.

And that's exactly what he's been so far this summer.

The Elijah Moore's and the Carl Lawson's will flash, but so too will some under-the-radar guys. Players who most would not have paid much attention to this summer had they not forced people to take notice.

Every offseason, there are always a handful of surprise standouts who make a name for themselves once the pads go on in training camp.

We take a look at four pleasant surprises from the Jets' 2021 training camp so far.
