3. The NY Jets could target linebacker in the 2022 NFL Draft

Another position that remains a bit of an unknown is the linebacker position.

C.J. Mosley is set to return after what has essentially been a two-year absence. The four-time Pro Bowler will be under contract until at least 2023 unless the Jets could find a way to trade him.

But outside of Mosley, who isn't guaranteed to be with the team past 2021, there aren't many sure things. Free-agent signing Jarrad Davis is on a one-year contract and will be looking to shed the "bust" label he was tagged with in Detroit.

The Jets are also hoping that one of their young players will step up and claim the weakside linebacker job, whether that be the incumbent Blake Cashman or 2021 draft picks Jamien Sherwood and Hamsah Nasirildeen.

There isn't much certainty at the position, and if things go south this season, the Jets could be looking to address linebacker in the 2022 NFL Draft.

A few prospects they could target early are Alabama's Christian Harris, Florida's Ventrell Miller, and Washington's Edefuan Ulofoshio.

It isn't considered to be a particularly strong linebacker class at the moment, but a lot can change from now until next April.
