For years now, NY Jets fans have waited for the moment that this defensive line breaks out into elite territory, and while we don't want to speak too soon, the stars may be aligning for this group to break out together in 2022.

Quinnen Williams is seemingly coming of age before our eyes, and with the addition of Jermaine Johnson and the health of Carl Lawson, on paper, this team could come together to give some opposing offense complete nightmares.

If healthy, this group certainly has potential, but given how expectations have been dashed in the past, all Jets fans should just be cautiously optimistic that this group can put it all together in 2022.

1. What are the pros of the 2022 NY Jets defensive line?

The Jets seem to have plenty of strengths as a team heading into the 2022 season, but with so many explosive athletes, it's safe to say that defensive line may be one of their deepest and most impressive position groups.

With Williams, Lawson, and Johnson adding to a group that has John Franklin-Myers, Jacob Martin, Bryce Huff, Sheldon Rankins, Vinny Curry, and Solomon Thomas, it's easy to see why confidence around this unit is just so high.

In the past, the Jets have struggled to effectively get to the QB, but with constant talent on the field, this could be the year that the Jets finally regain their pass rush. It'll be up to Robert Saleh to get the most out of this talented unit.
