NY Jets 2022 schedule: 5 upsets the Jets could cause
By Nathan Smith
4. Another NY Jets tight end could upset his former team in week 13
The Minnesota Vikings aren't quite the powerhouse that we've seen in recent times, but they still have a fantastic offense, and on their day, can beat almost any team in the NFL.
The new Jets cornerbacks would certainly have their hands full with Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen, but their overall talent may be able to overcome a very tough Minnesota team on the road.
If the Jets are to make any noise in the AFC East, this needs to be one in a string of winnable games that they take out, and while this win alone may not be enough to propel them to the playoffs, it would be a big step in proving the Jets can win big-time games.
5. The NY Jets could finish the season with another divisional upset
There are a few teams in the NFL that the Jets simply hate and can't wait to beat, but after a few moves this off-season and a lot of online chatter, the Miami Dolphins are a team that every New York fan can't wait to see defeated.
It's unlikely that the Jets are in a prime position for a playoff spot come week 18, but if they can pull off a few upsets and win the winnable games, this could be must-win, must-see football for Jets fans.
With injuries, this may turn out to be a fairly even matchup, but right now, given the Dolphins' recent regular-season success, they would no doubt be the favorite. This is the type of game however that Zach Wilson and the Jets need to win to turn this franchise around.
