NY Jets prediction

Lewis Cine checks all the boxes needed to become a top-notch safety in the NFL. He has played in multiple alignments and has a diverse skill set which will make him an enticing prospect for any team looking to add creativity to their defensive game plan.

In 2021, Cine's versatility was displayed as he lined up 65 percent of the time at free safety, 18.9 percent in the box, 14.4 percent in the slot, 0.5 percent on the edge, and 1.3 percent as a wide corner.

Cine is a violent, downhill hitter who should be able to excel immediately in defending against the run. He is best suited to play the box safety position because of his ability to tackle and his potential to register a sack. Cine should also be a contributor early on in special teams.

Having Jordan Whitehead and Lamarcus Joyner on the roster would allow Lewis Cine to be in the perfect situation for the Jets. He could be mentored by two seasoned veterans and be eased into the lineup situationally.

Cine's stock continues to rise as he continues to shine for NFL scouts. However, if he's still on the draft board when the Jets make their first of two second-round picks they should strongly consider selecting him.

Lewis Cine would be an absolute steal for the Jets with the 35th pick of the 2022 NFL Draft.
