Conclusion

It would take a few high-end acquisitions and a lot of development of current players to reach that 49ers dominance of 2019. The Jets would need to spend big on a new pass rusher and cornerback, as well as bring in a safety or two and a linebacker.

With so many resources as well as the brains behind that defense with the organization, though, it is not out of the question that the Jets could field a talented defense next season.

Ultimately, this is an exciting time to be a Jets fan. With the current combination of youth, talent, and capital, the future looks bright for Gang Green.

Next. Calvin Ridley and 3 other wide receivers the NY Jets could trade for. dark

Hopefully, Robert Saleh is able to catch lightning in a bottle twice and replicate that incredible defense he coached just a few seasons ago.
