5. John Franklin-Myers has earned an extension from the NY Jets

John Franklin-Myers entered Sunday's game as one of the Jets' best players, and all he did was add another sack and a team-leading eight pressures to his already impressive 2021 campaign.

And he managed to do so while nursing a calf injury.

Franklin-Myers now has three sacks in four games and has the highest pressure rate on the Jets roster. He's on pace for over 12 sacks and could be in line for a Pro Bowl appearance if he continues to play at this level.

With his contract set to expire in the offseason, it's safe to say that Franklin-Myers has earned a new deal. The Jets would be wise to extend him sooner rather than later with his price tag continuing to rise each week.

6. Bryce Huff has improved significantly as a pass rusher

When the Jets signed Bryce Huff as an undrafted free agent shortly following the 2020 NFL Draft, they believed they were getting a high-energy pass rusher whose ceiling was a rotational player.

But Huff has taken any and all expectations and launched them to the moon. Not only is he producing as a weekly starter, but he's on pace for just shy of double-digit sacks after a 1.5-sack performance in Week 4.

Huff was second on the team behind just John Franklin-Myers with a whopping seven pressures. Mind you, he entered the game with five pressures in three gamed and had 14 pressures all of last season.

Bryce Huff has made almost unbelievable strides as a pass rusher over the course of just one year. He's a key part of this young Jets defensive line and could be for years to come.
