NFL QB Power Rankings: Ranking Zach Wilson and all 32 starting quarterbacks
By Justin Fried
The NFL season has come to an end for the NY Jets, and while many will have their eyes on the upcoming free agency period and the 2022 NFL Draft, it's also important to look back and reflect.
Reflect about the best moments from the past year, the best games, the best performances, and, for the sake of this article, the best quarterbacks.
We at The Jet Press decided it would be fun to do a little collective group project. The goal was to rank all 32 starting quarterbacks in order of how good they are at this very moment.
This list isn't meant to be a projection of the future nor is it a list of our favorite quarterbacks. Instead, by the end of the 2021 season, how good was each starting QB in the NFL?
Some teams, of course, had multiple starters in 2021. The player with the most games started was given the nod, with a couple of notable exceptions. For instance, Jameis Winston was used instead of Taysom Hill.
A panel of six members of the staff was selected to vote for this project (Justin Fried, Brian Newsome, Christian Agathis, Mike Mitchell, Tom Rudawsky, Chris Nass).
While individual rankings won't be revealed, I went ahead and took the average of each of our rankings to create one collective QB power rankings. For reference, the highest and lowest ranking for each player is included.
Without further ado, let's jump in and see how the rakings turned out.
