The offseason isn't yet over, but the most exciting parts for the NY Jets are in the rearview mirror, and now Joe Douglas, Robert Saleh, and this entire squad get down to work in preparation for the 2022 NFL season.

Gang Green heads into OTAs and training camp with the most optimism and the most talented roster we've seen in years. While some parts of this squad are completely sorted, there are still some fun things to figure out over the next few months.

OTAs aren't the time to definitively set a depth chart or decide any position battles, but they give the Jets a first look at many compelling storylines as we head into the new season. Here are five of the most intriguing.

1. What is NY Jets tackle Mekhi Becton's health situation?

Mekhi Becton was the centerpiece for Joe Douglas' first draft back in 2020, and while he has flashed incredible potential on the field, his lack of ability to stay healthy has Jets fans concerned.

His rookie campaign featured a few injuries, but it's 2021 that is the cause for most concern as Becton was limited to just one game. In 2022, however, it's essential for this offensive line that Becton suit up as much as he can to protect Zach Wilson.

Given his importance to this franchise, it's likely that he will come along slowly and build toward the season, but first impressions at OTAs will tell us exactly how the Jets feel and how Becton feels heading into a crucial year for the former first-round pick.
