After an offseason of hype, Aaron Rodgers' debut season for the New York Jets lasted all of four plays before he tour his Achilles to end his season.
The Jets went on to win on a walkoff punt return touchdown in overtime, but the joy was short lived as fans had to wake up realizing their dreams of a Super Bowl are in serious danger now that they're back to trusting Zach Wilson to lead them to the promise land.
Now, they have a daunting matchup in the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2, who are coming off one of the biggest butt-kickings of all time, blanking the Giants by a score of 40-0 in Week 1 on the road.

Jets vs. Cowboys key players to watch
New York Jets
Zach Wilson: Obviously, all eyes will be on Zach Wilson as he tries to fill in for Aaron Rodgers. Despite having a top three defense last season, Wilson couldn't get the Jets into the playoffs. Now, he'll have another chance as management has made it clear that they're going to roll with him this season. He has a tough test in his first start since Rodgers went down as he has to take on one of the best defense in the NFL. This is a big game for him.
Dallas Cowboys
Tony Pollard: The Giants were so offensively against the Cowboys that the Dallas offense drove under the radar. Dak Prescott actually didn't have a great performance, completing only 54.2% of passes. Meanwhile, Tony Pollard had a strong showing in his first start since taking over as the No. 1 guy. He rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns while adding on two receptions for 12 yards. I expect him to have a big year.
Jets vs. Cowboys prediction and pick
The Jets were originally 3.5-point underdogs in this game before the Rodgers injury. Since this, the spread has ballooned six points up to +9.5.
Listen, is Rodgers much better than Wilson? Obviously. Is he six points better? No way.
Let's not forget how dominant the Jets defense was against the Bills, reminding people that they were a top three unit in the league last season. Based on their defense alone, they can keep their team in this game.
With Breece Hall and Dalvin Cook being an effective one-two punch on the ground, the Jets will be alright as long as Wilson doesn't throw away the game.
I'll take the points with New York.
