Jets vs. Browns prediction and odds for NFL Hall of Fame Game (Trends point to Jets)
By Iain MacMillan
Football is BACK!
The New York Jets and Cleveland Browns will face-off on Thursday night in the annual Hall of Fame Game. Sure, the game is meaningless and the best players on both teams won't play a single snap, but it's the official sign that the regular season is just around the corner.
Zach Wilson will get the start for the Jets tonight and Kellen Mond will start for the Browns, so we'll have to wait a little while longer to see Aaron Rodgers in game action.
Still, we're going to bet on this game, right? RIGHT?!
Yes. Yes we are.

Jets vs. Browns prediction and pick for Hall of Fame Game
NFL Preseason is almost impossible to handicap. We have no idea who is going to play and the game for how long. But, there is one big factor that we can key on when betting on the preseason and that's how each head coach treats it.
Some head coaches use the preseason solely for evaluating players while others do their best to win to give their teams some level of momentum heading into the season. Well, Robert Saleh seems to lean towards the later. The Jets have been fantastic in the preseason under his leadership.
There's another key trend that makes me lean towards the Jets in this spot. The betting favorites have historically done well in the Hall of Fame Game. The Jets originally opened as underdog, but with them now being set as the favorites, we should feel confident placing a few dollars on them tonight.
It's a short spread at 1.5 points, so I'm going to go ahead and take the Jets at -1.5 tonight while I sit back and watch some live football for the first time in months.
