Breece Hall stirs the pot with comments about Jets coaching staff

Davante or no Davante ... the running back is quietly pleading his case.

This New York Jets offseason has been home to many storylines, but none bigger or more important to the organization than Aaron Rodgers returning to full health and starting the season under center.

Recently, though, Rodgers has been connected to a former teammate by way of several trade rumors involving current Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams. Rodgers and Adams, of course, played several seasons together with the Green Bay Packers where the two of them formed an unbreakable bond.

Would it be a dream if the Jets were able to pull off a trade for Adams and reunite him with his former quarterback? It certainly would. Having a playmaker like Adams, on offense, could completely change that group and make life easier on the coaches.

But, all of the Adams whispers aside, running back Breece Hall has a very simple request of his coaching staff.

On a recent episode of Up & Adams with Kay Adams, Hall made it known that the coaching staff needs to do a better job at allowing their players to do what they do best, regardless of whether or not the team is able to go get Davante.

Breece Hall isn't wrong to subtly stir the pot, and Nathaniel Hackett should be paying attention

Just let his players play. That seems easy enough, no?

Last season, Hall was given 10 or less carries on six separate occasions. Now, he did work his way through some minor injury concerns at times. But, Hall was able to play the majority of the season. And still, most Jets fans would agree he was completely under-utilized.

In four of the Jets' final five games, Hall was given at least 18 touches. In those four games, he totaled 633 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns. Out of those four games, the Jets won three of them.

Coincidence? Probably not.

It's not too difficult of a concept to understand. Give the ball to your best players. If Hackett can practice that one, simple concept, then the Jets are going to be better off for it, and their top players are also going to be much, much happier.

And, if New York were to somehow go out and get their hands on Davante Adams? Oh boy. Watch out. Between Rodgers, Adams, Garrett Wilson and Hall, the Jets' offense could be one of the league's best, and in a hurry.
