NY Jets football is back! The Jets are just hours away from their preseason opener against the Washington Commanders in a game that may not feature Aaron Rodgers and much of the team's starters but will feature plenty of intrigue.

The outcome of the game may be significant, but this game absolutely matters for many players on the Jets' roster. Let's take a look at everything you need to know about today's preseason opener.

A few other players dealing with injuries that could keep them out of this game include defensive end Takkarist McKinley, offensive lineman Chris Glaser, and safety Ashtyn Davis. Glaser and Davis seem to be on track to play in the preseason opener.
