Eli Manning rips pathetic Jets offense with brutal jab on Manningcast
By Mike Luciano
While it's hard to have a ton of fun watching Zach Wilson and the NY Jets attempt to create an offense that looks like anything remotely entertaining against the Los Angeles Chargers, but it is quite a fun experience to watch Peyton and Eli Manning rip their hair out watching this act of outsider art unfold in front of them.
The Jets managed just three points in the first half, and those points came on a drive aided by amazing field position. The miscues are piling up, and both Manning brothers are disgusting with what they are witnessing unfold.
In a segment with Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (famously picked before Wilson in 2021), the Jacksonville signal caller said he would stay on the show until the end of the Jets' next drive. Eli was stunned, saying that no one would willingly choose to watch more Jets offense.
Eli Manning disgusting with stat of NY Jets' offense.
Wilson mustered just 81 yards passing on 23 attempts in the first half, though the story of the game so far for New York has been their miscues. Derius Davis ran a punt back early on in the contest, and it was all downhill from there.
Between Garrett Wilson losing the first fumble of his career, a Joey Bosa strip sack ruining what was once a promising drive, and Wilson flipping the ball to Michael Carter at the line of scrimmage on third down when he had 10 yards of green grass in front of him, it's been a complete mess for New York.
Allen Lazard looks like he has no idea what he's supposed to be doing, Wilson is holding the ball for too long, Randall Cobb isn't even playing anymore, and Dalvin Cook continues to bring nothing to the table.
The Jets have now punted 16 times in their last six quarters of football. Nothing is going right, and Manning can barely even hide his disgust for Nathaniel Hackett's product on live TV. This defense deserves so much better.
