Betting expert prediction for Jets in Week 3

Everyone is going to be afraid of the Jets because of Zach Wilson’s struggles against Bill Belichick. The Patriots could be live at some point this season, but as a road favorite, BetSided NFL betting expert Iain MacMillan isn’t interested, partly because of their own first-round QB.

MacMillan wrote, “There are going to be times this season that I'm going to bet on the New England Patriots as underdogs, but I have no desire to lay three or more points on them, especially on the road. Their offense has gained just 4.5 yards per play, the fifth fewest in the NFL through the first two weeks.”

MacMillan thought that the Jets played a lot better than the final score indicated in Dallas, but also acknowledges that is the reality of playing with a turnover prone QB like Wilson.

“Obviously, turnovers are a big part of the game and Zach Wilson has to make any Jets bettor nervous, but at the end of the day they have an elite defense and New England has little to offer offensively.”

He’ll take the Jets +3 at home against a division rival.
