3. Zach Wilson, QB, NY Jets

Oh boy. I know I'll be catching some heat for this one. For the first time all year, I am recommending considering rostering Zach Wilson as your quarterback for daily fantasy. Three weeks ago, I was suggesting the Jets should bench him. Oh, how far we've come.

Hear me out before rushing to criticize me, though.

Wilson has played pretty good football the last few weeks. Completing over 70% of his passes, excelling in play-action passing, throwing two touchdowns to just one turnover, and averaging 220 yards per game, Wilson is in the best stretch of his career.

Wilson has the ability to run for big yards, especially against an aggressive front seven. Arguably his best attribute is escaping the pocket and making plays. He has already surpassed 25 rushing yards in two games so far this season, and I expect him to do it again.

The Eagles defense is banged up and hurt. Both star defensive tackle Jalen Carter and star cornerback Darius Slay did not practice Thursday and are trending towards not playing. That impacts their pass rush and also their 25th-ranked pass defense.

The coaches all week have talked about being aggressive early again like they were against Kansas City when Wilson went for 245 yards and two touchdowns. If Zach Wilson and that play-calling show up again, there is no reason why Wilson can't throw for 250 yards and two scores.

My suggestion is to roster Zach Wilson and Garrett Wilson or Tyler Conklin together to get the double points and then use the excess money at other positions. Wilson is priced at just $6,500, ahead of only Mac Jones as a starting quarterback. It merits some consideration this week.
