2. Tyler Conklin, TE, NY Jets

Although playing with Aaron Rodgers would have been huge for Tyler Conklin’s fantasy value this year, he does happen to be one of Zach Wilson’s favorite targets.

In the first two games of the year, Conklin had seven targets, amounting to six catches for 52 yards. Although nothing over-the-top flashy, he did have a much better week two against Dallas once Wilson was forced to throw the ball.

In that game against Dallas, Conklin brought in five catches for 50 yards. For a tight end, especially a 2023 tight end, that is a solid game. Tight end production is way down across the entire league unless your name is Travis Kelce.

I think the game plan this week focuses on quick, short passes from Wilson that alleviate the need to read and process a defense. That quick pass attack will favor guys like Conklin, who are routinely running the check-down patterns.

Conklin is going for just $4,900 on FanDuel — 19th in terms of price for tight ends this week.

I think Conklin ends with five catches for 58 yards. 10.8 fantasy points is a solid day for anyone at that position, and it saves you money for stars elsewhere.
