2- Dalvin Cook, RB, NY Jets
Sticking with the same theme, I think Dalvin Cook is a great play this week as well for the Jets and daily fantasy owners. Cook is actually priced higher than Hall currently, at $6,000.
Cook had a slightly disappointing game last week against Buffalo, finishing with 13 carries for 33 yards and three catches for 26 yards. Although the yards don't jump off the page, the amount of touches is very encouraging for daily fantasy players.
With another full week of practice, Cook should be in a better position in terms of conditioning and understanding the playbook. I believe that Cook will continue to improve while maintaining his workload for about five or six more weeks. After that, Hall should start to dominate the share of carries and touches.
As mentioned above, with Wilson under center, I expect a heavy dose of running attempts from Cook and Hall, who should each get about 15 touches. If Cook can find any running room, it sets up for a nice day at a reasonable price.
My final stat line for Cook looks like 11 carries for 40 yards and four catches for 35 yards — good for 11.5 daily fantasy points.
