The New York Jets return home to play the Washington Commanders on Christmas Eve. New York has had a tumultuous season filled with injuries and poor play on both sides of the ball.

They will try to give their fans something to cheer about against a Commanders' squad, who has underachieved as well this season. Nonetheless, I found two Jets props that bettors might want to think about wagering on ahead of Sunday's kickoff.

If you want to see where I found these player props, check out DraftKings Sportsbook, where new users will receive $150 in bonus bets and no-sweat game parlays when they bet $5.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Commanders vs. Jets in Week 16

  • Garrett Wilson OVER 62.5 receiving yards (-115)
  • Breece Hall UNDER 12.5 rushing attempts (-115)
  • Terry McLaurin UNDER 51.5 receiving yards (-120)

Garrett Wilson OVER 62.5 receiving yards (-115)

It doesn’t matter who is starting at quarterback for the Jets on Sunday. They need to find a way to get the ball to the second-year wide receiver by any means necessary. Wilson is coming off a tough game last week against the Dolphins, where he had three receptions (four targets) for 29 yards.

The 23-year-old receiver will look to bounce back against the Commanders’ defense, which is ranked 32nd in DVOA-WR1, per ftnfantasy.com.

Washington also allows 102 receiving yards to opposing WR1s (league-high). Wilson has only gone OVER 62.5 receiving yards in six out of 14 games this season.

Wilson is only recording 48 yards per game in his last five contests, which might scare some bettors from taking the OVER. However, this Commanders’ defense isn’t good, and they give up a ton of yards.

Breece Hall UNDER 12.5 rushing attempts (-115)

It’s hard to trust Hall and the Jets’ running game at this stage of the season. Last week, Hall only had 12 yards on six carries in a 30-0 blowout loss to the Dolphins.

The stats tell us that the second-year running back should play better against the Commanders’ defense (119.7 rushing yards per game allowed) on Sunday. However, he’s only averaging 23.2 yards on 9.2 carries per game in his last five contests.

Hall is also averaging 10.8 carries per game at home this season and only had more than 12.5 carries twice (13 vs. ATL and 16 vs. LAC).

Terry McLaurin UNDER 51.5 receiving yards (-120)

If McLaurin wasn’t matched up against Sauce Gardner on Sunday, I’d happily take the OVER on his receiving yards prop. However, that won’t be the case as this Jets’ defense is ranked first in DVOA-WR1 and allows the fourth-fewest yards per game to WR1s (58.7).

Scary Terry had a great game against the Rams last week, as he had six receptions (12 targets) for 141 yards and a touchdown. Coincidentally, that was McLaurin’s best game in the past five weeks.

The veteran wide receiver has gone UNDER 51.5 receiving yards per game in seven out of 14 games this season. If I’m the Jets, I’d rather have Jahan Dotson or Curtis Samuel beat me on Sunday.
