1. Buffalo Bills

The Bills entered the year as the odds-on favorites to win the AFC East, and despite a few midseason hiccups, they remain atop these power rankings.

A blowout victory over the Jets this past Sunday solidified their spot, even with the surging Patriots knocking on their door.

The Bills' offense had sputtered in recent weeks including a disastrous 9-6 loss to the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars the week prior. But a get-right game against an abysmal Jets defense was just what the doctor ordered.

The Bills looked like the well-oiled machine they appeared to be earlier in the season in Week 10. They have perhaps the MVP favorite in Josh Allen, an excellent wide receiver corps, and one of the best defenses in the NFL.

Pair that with a great coaching staff and you have legitimate Super Bowl contenders. They're not just going to be handed the division, however.

A showdown with the Patriots on Dec. 7 could prove crucial in determining who the winner of the AFC East will be, as will three weeks later when the two teams meet again.

At 6-3, the Bills would probably like to have at least one or two of those losses back, but it's hard to complain about being in first place.

And if they play as well as they did this past Sunday, they should have no trouble remaining atop these rankings.
