It's happening -- sort of!

After weeks of speculation that the New York Jets would be the destination for Aaron Rodgers this offseason, the man himself has broken his silence on the matter. Rodgers made his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show and finally addressed all of the recent rumors about what he's planning on doing and what the situation is.

Is he retiring?

Does he want to play for the Jets?

What's the latest tea in the French literary scene?

Okay, two of those were actually relevant to football fans who have been hate-watching Rodgers' entire offseason ordeal. A few things became clear, though, which is very good news for Jets fans who have been caught in the middle of his latest battle with the media and his current team.

  • Rodgers said he intends to play for the Jets
  • Blame the Packers for the hold up, not Rodgers -- according to Rodgers

The internet was set ablaze by Rodgers' appearance on McAfee's show, and jsut about everyone used the occasion to get their jokes off.

It's yet to be seen who will get the last laugh here, but it's looking like it might be the Jets. For was bad as the Packers looked last year, and how much Rodgers contributed to that, it's hard to imagine him turning in back-to-back miserable seasons.

It's possible, sure, but Rodgers is a Hall of Fame grudge holder. The version of him the Jets will be getting -- especially if they add Odell Beckham Jr. --- is one that will want to watch the world burn as he gets his revenge.

How badly do you think Tom Brady wanted to win a Super Bowl in his first season without Bill Belichick? Rodgers is fueled by an angry passion that burns with the heat of a billion suns, and that furnace is going to power the Jets to heights they haven't been to in a while.

Barring a truly historic meltdown -- one that would no doubt potentially tarnish how we remember Rodgers legacy -- Jets fans are going to get the last laugh here.
