The NY Jets may not have sent their coaching staff to the 2022 NFL Combine, but their presence is still felt with Joe Douglas and other members of the front office in attendance.

The Jets have been doing their due diligence meeting with a number of the top prospects in this year's draft class. And, as is tradition, those prospects were asked about which teams they've met with in the media portion of the event.

The Jets have almost surely met with many, many more prospects than are on this list, but the following nine players have openly admitted to meeting with the Jets this week.

Which prospects could be on the Jets' radar ahead of drafts season? Let's take a look at nine 2022 NFL Draft prospects that have already met with the organization.

9. The NY Jets have met with: Matthew Butler, DT, Tennessee

We're already cheating a little bit here as Matthew Butler reportedly met with the Jets at the East-West Shrine Bowl, not the NFL Combine. Still, a meeting is a meeting.

Butler is a late-rising defensive tackle prospect who made a name for himself at the Shrine Bowl and is looking to continue his steady rise at the Combine. At 6-foot-3, 300 pounds, Butler would fit right in as a three-technique in the Jets' attacking 4-3 scheme.

He isn't the longest or most physically gifted player, but Butler plays with a high motor and is fundamentally sound. It's easy to see the Jets targeting someone like Butler on Day 3 of the draft.

With Folorunso Fatukasi and Nathan Shepherd possibly departing in free agency, the Jets need extra interior depth and Butler could be just what they're looking for.
