6. Thomas Hennessy, LS, NY Jets

  • Current Votes Rank: 9th (5th in AFC)

How about some long snapper love? Thomas Hennessy remains the Jets' longest-tenured player and he's been one of the most consistent long snappers in the NFL since he entered the league in 2017.

Hennessy is currently ninth among all long snappers in Pro Bowl votes and fifth in the AFC meaning there's still a chance he makes it. There's a case to be made too.

The Jets rank top 10 in special teams DVOA and their special teams unit is tied for the eight-highest Pro Football Focus grade. That has to count for something.

5. Lamarcus Joyner, FS, NY Jets

  • Current Votes Rank: 6th (5th in AFC)

This is probably the most surprising on the list. Jets safety Lamarcus Joyner is ranked among the top six free safeties in Pro Bowl votes leaguewide despite what most would consider an inconsistent season to date.

The thing he has working in his favor? Interceptions. Joyner leads the Jets with three interceptions, a figure that also ranks among the most of any safety in the league. Mind you, the Pro Bowl voting website sorts defensive backs by interceptions.

Still, Joyner's 56.6 Pro Football Focus grade ranks 54th out of 66 qualified safeties and he's had his fair share of missed tackles and coverage gaffes this year.

Interceptions go a long way in the minds of the voters, however, meaning that Joyner could still sneak in despite his lackluster play.
