4. The NY Jets will face Joe Burrow in Week 3

Joe Burrow has had a very up and down start to his career in the NFL, but after a great postseason in 2021 that saw the Bengals make it all the way to the Super Bowl, the young stud has solidified himself among the elite QB's in the NFL today.

He's certainly not in the conversation for top-three, but given all the talent he has and the talent around him, the Jets may be facing him, while staring down the barrel of an 0-3 start to yet another NFL season.

Burrow will be a lot easier to contain than some of the other names on this list, but given how hot he can get during the season, if the Jets don't bring their A-game, they could be looking at a very long, difficult campaign.

5. The NY Jets take on dual-threat stud Lamar Jackson right off the bat

While Lamar Jackson won't be the best overall QB the Jets see in the 2022 season, the fact that they get him in Week 1 is tough. Jackson is as elusive and hard to defend as any QB in the league, and if you can't contain him in the pocket, you could be looking at 50.

Not everyone in the NFL hits the ground running immediately, so there's a chance that getting Jackson so early could be good for the Jets, but it will be the first action for this group together on the field, so it's not going to be easy in the slightest.

The Jets stayed in the fight as long as they could against the Ravens back in 2021, and with so much more talent, they could give them a real run in Week 1, but if Lamar gets his legs under him, Jets fans should prepare for the worst.
