2. The NY Jets will face Josh Allen in Week 1 and 11

Despite the Jets' acquisition of Aaron Rodgers, they still don't have the best quarterback in the division, with the team needing to face off against dual-threat star Josh Allen twice a year. They'll do so in Week 1 (Monday Night Football) and Week 11 this season.

While the Jets made Allen look bad last year, he has been one of the league's best over the past few seasons, and if the Jets want to avoid an 0-2 sweep against Buffalo this year, the defense will have to be at their elite best to shut both his legs and his arm down.

2022 stats: 4,283 passing yards on 63.3 completion percentage with 35 touchdowns and 12 interceptions and a 96.6 passer rating. Allen also added 762 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.

1. The NY Jets will face Patrick Mahomes in Week 4

The Jets' defense took a massive step forward in 2022, and now they are going to have to repeat that feat plenty of times over in 2023. They face no tougher matchup than the reigning MVP and Super Bowl Champions Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4.

For this Jets team, shutting down Patrick Mahomes will always be a test, but now that they have their own MVP-caliber quarterback, it makes their job slightly easier. Both sides of the ball should be confident that they can get their job done, but with Travis Kelce and a deep wide receiver group, this won't be easy.

Next. Quinnen Williams isn't happy with the NY Jets and he's making it clear. dark

2022 stats: 5,250 passing yards on 67.1 completion percentage with 41 touchdowns to just 12 interceptions and a 105.7 passer rating. He also added 358 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
