2. The NY Jets could trade Denzel Mims to the New England Patriots

Another team that's reportedly interested in trading for Mims is one of the Jets' AFC East rivals, the New England Patriots. We've seen the Jets and Patriots become more open to trading with one another in recent years, and this could be another opportunity for it.

The Patriots' wide receiver room is underwhelming entering the 2023 season. DeVante Parker, Kendrick Bourne, and JuJu Smith-Schuster project as the starting trio and the team's depth behind them is inexperienced.

New England could benefit from adding an X receiver behind Parker, as none of the other players on their roster really fill that role. Mims would make a ton of sense.

The Patriots have been known to love adding former Jets players under Bill Belichick, and Mims could be the latest addition to that ever-growing list.

1. The NY Jets could trade Denzel Mims to the Pittsburgh Steelers

No team makes more sense as a potential landing spot for Mims than the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are the third and final team that is reportedly interested in trading for Mims, and it's easy to see why.

Mims' former wide receivers coach at Baylor, Frisman Jackson, is the Steelers' current wide receivers coach. Not only that, but his other former co-offensive coordinator at Baylor, Glenn Thomas, is an offensive assistant on Pittsburgh's staff.

That's two of Mims' most prominent former offensive coaches who are members of the Steelers coaching staff. Connections matter in the NFL, and that might just be the case here.

The Steelers could use the additional wide receiver depth behind George Pickens, Diontae Johnson, and Allen Robinson too. Don't be surprised if Mims ends up in Pittsburgh one way or another.
