Just one week away from the 2023 NFL Draft, the NY Jets have many options to consider at pick 13 in the first round. Still awaiting an Aaron Rodgers trade means that the Jets have three selections in the first 43 picks, and can really add some ammunition to the team.

As always, the most important selection comes on Thursday night in the first round. Mock drafts have the Jets doing a lot of different things. Below are five of the options the Jets might have, with some in-depth analysis to discuss why or how they would go down.

Although not in any set-in-stone specific order, I did try and rank them from least likely to most likely to happen on Thursday night.

1. The NY Jets could trade the pick for Aaron Rodgers

This remains a possibility until the compensation for the Aaron Rodgers trade is finalized and revealed. Many NFL insiders still believe that a trade will happen either just before or during the draft. In this scenario, the Green Bay Packers would tell the Jets either trade them pick 13 or a deal is off the table.

With that scenario in mind, the Jets might be forced to give up their first-round choice. Fearing the backlash that would ensue if the Jets somehow do not get Rodgers, especially with the lack of available alternatives, Woody Johnson might panic and force general manager Joe Douglas to pull the trigger.

I really do not think this happens. If the Jets have been able to hold out on including pick 13 this far, there is no reason to panic on draft night.

In fact, I think the Packers would be under more pressure to get a deal night by the draft than the Jets. For that reason, I don't see this as very likely to happen, but it technically remains an option until Rodgers is actually traded.
