5 offensive linemen the NY Jets could target in the 2022 NFL Draft

2. The NY Jets could target C Tyler Linderbaum
With two picks inside the top-10, the Jets will be able to address a lot of holes. But with more picks throughout the draft, there will be genuine consideration for moving back into the first round.
That’s what Mel Kiper has recently predicted the Jets to do in his mock draft, moving up to take Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum. If they can pull this off, the Jets may very well win the entire 2022 NFL Draft.
With standouts at each guard position in Alijah Vera-Tucker and Laken Tomlinson, the Jets are trending upwards on the line, but if they can get Linderbaum to be the center between the two for the future, things are looking very bright indeed.
3. The NY Jets could target OT Charles Cross
Charles Cross out of Mississippi State is one of the most intriguing draft prospects, and no one knows exactly where he will land, but the Jets will definitely be keeping an eye on him at picks No. 4 and No. 10.
No player in the draft is rising faster than the talented offensive tackle, and if the Jets do want to secure him, there’s a very good chance they may need to do it with their first (or maybe second) selection in the draft.
While Cross may look lean in comparison to other tackles, he brings aggression, fire, and talent to the field, and he will be starting in the NFL in 2022. If the Jets do look to draft him, they may have Mekhi Becton’s long-term tackle partner ready.
