4. Joe Flacco, QB, NY Jets

The Jets officially demoted veteran quarterback Joe Flacco to the third-string role this past Sunday when he was left inactive for the first time this season.

The 15-year NFL veteran started the first three games of the season for the Jets to mixed results. His four-touchdown performance against the Cleveland Browns was one of the best statistical games by a Jets quarterback in recent years. His start against the Bengals, however? Not so much.

The Jets have made it clear that they want to see what they have in Mike White leaving Flacco as a surplus at a position that isn't exactly a luxury around the NFL. Perhaps this could result in Flacco being moved at the deadline.

In fact, that's exactly how the Jets re-acquired Flacco in the first place. A year ago, the Jets sent a conditional sixth-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for the former Super Bowl MVP.

Could we see a similar deadline day deal this year? It's not completely out of the realm of possibility.

There's no shortage of teams that could use an experienced backup like Flacco on their roster. Even if it's just for a conditional late-round pick, some team might be willing to trade for him.

The Jets like their quarterback depth, but with Chris Streveler down on the practice squad, there's no reason to have four QBs under contract. Flacco is just taking up a roster spot at the moment.

If the Jets can get anything of value for Flacco, they should take it.
