4. Breece Hall's rehab

One of the most important storylines to keep an eye on this summer is the status of second-year running back Breece Hall. Hall is still recovering from a torn ACL that cut his rookie season short, and his progress this summer could directly affect his team's plans for the running back position.

The Jets remain optimistic that Hall will be ready for the start of the season. Hall has even directly stated that he will be on the field come Week 1. Nothing is guaranteed, however.

The NFL Films crew will likely pay close attention to Hall and his continued rehab process. After all, Hall won't have even been sidelined for a full year by the time Week 1 rolls around.

The other interesting aspect of Hall's recovery is how it affects the Jets' running back plans. The Jets remain interested in signing four-time Pro Bowler Dalvin Cook. How aggressive they are in their pursuit of Cook might directly depend on Hall's perceived availability.

If Hall shows up to training camp and proves to the Jets that he can handle a sizable workload early in the season, the team might not make a serious push to sign Cook. On the other hand, if Hall still isn't close to 100 percent, Cook might become a bigger priority for the team.

Breece Hall is one of the most important players on the Jets' roster, and his rehab process should be one of the primary storylines of this season's "Hard Knocks" as a result.
