The NY Jets have one of the most talented rosters the organization has seen in years entering the 2023 season. Aaron Rodgers has helped solidify the team as a legitimate Super Bowl contender, but he's far from the only reason why the Jets are seen as threats in the AFC.

General manager Joe Douglas has constructed a core of young players featuring the likes of Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and many others. That core has been combined with talented veterans like Rodgers, C.J. Mosley, D.J. Reed, etc.

The result is one of the best rosters in the NFL. Of course, with any roster this deep, there are bound to be some talented players who fly under the radar. Those are the players we'll be discussing today.

Let's take a look at a few hidden gems on the Jets' roster that could surprise a lot of people this season.

5. Mecole Hardman, WR, NY Jets

The Jets signed three wide receivers in free agency this offseason, and perhaps the most overlooked of the trio is former Kansas City Chiefs speedster Mecole Hardman.

Hardman never developed into a featured player in Kansas City, but he proved that he could be a viable role player on both offense and special teams. He has an opportunity to make a real impact as part of this Jets' offense in 2023.

Hardman brings something to the table that really no other receiver on the roster does. His speed and electric playmaking ability make him a dangerous downfield threat who could thrive with Rodgers under center.

If the Jets give Hardman enough playing time, he has the potential to make some waves in this Jets offense. He shouldn't be overlooked.
