2. The Jets could target Jermaine Johnson at No. 4 or No. 10

While Kayvon Thibodeaux would be a home run choice for the Jets, there’s no denying he could be gone before they get on the board, and if that is indeed the case, then Florida State product Jermaine Johnson should be at the top of their boards.

The team is reportedly doing ‘a lot’ of research on Johnson, and while we don’t know whether Douglas would use No. 4 overall on him or potentially wait it out until No. 10, we do know that he is definitely on the Jets' radar.

Johnson may not be the overall product that Thibodeaux appears to be, he has all the athleticism and talent in the world, and if the Jets were to select him No. 4 overall, the fans would be ecstatic to have a player that will play their hearts out for the franchise alongside Carl Lawson.

3. The NY Jets should pursue Travon Walker

The NFL Draft is always unpredictable, with players skyrocketing up boards and plummeting down them just as easily, and no player exemplifies this potential change of draft position more than Georgia Bulldogs star Travon Walker.

He may not have the numbers or the star power of a Thibodeaux or Hutchinson, but looking at the film, Walker should be able to step onto an NFL roster and contribute immediately with a sky-high ceiling.

The Jets likely won’t have him ranked above either of the aforementioned, but if they’re off the board, this pick likely wouldn’t surprise anyone.

While the pick wouldn’t be flashy, it would represent an immediate impact and upgrade for the Jets, and a team that has struggled this mightily to find star players should never say no to a blue-chip prospect with his type of upside.
