For the first time in a long time, many NY Jets fans feel genuine optimism. After the stellar offseason this franchise has had, we are all just ready for games to start.

But what order of games will the Jets be playing in? That question was just answered as the Jets' full 2022 season schedule was released. It's a tough one, to say the least.

We already knew what teams the Jets would be playing, but after the schedule release, we know that the first half of the season is going to be a struggle for this young squad.

If they can make it through with their head above water, this team could be playing some significant games come December. But at this point, that's a long way off.

While there are some tough games on the schedule, there are also some winnable ones, so Jets fans should be glued to each game with plenty of confidence.

We will go into more detail on all the Jets games this season going forward, but right now, we are going to look at the five games on the schedule that stand out for Jets fans as the most anticipated of all.

1. Week 1: NY Jets vs. Baltimore Ravens

The NFL has laid out the gauntlet for the Jets as one of their toughest tests of the year comes immediately with Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens traveling to MetLife Stadium for the opening game of the season.

This one isn't as daunting as in previous years as the Jets have the team capable of handling the Ravens, but that doesn't mean they'll be favored at all.

Deservedly so, as New York has struggled over the past few years while Jackson and the Ravens have been electrifying. If the Jets want to turn it around, this is the type of statement game to do it in.

Ultimately, this one may set the tone for the season. While Jets fans may not be confident in a win, if this young group can hang with the Ravens, we may be in for a very fun year.
