1. Bryce Huff, DE, NY Jets

There may not be a more underrated player in the entire NFL than Bryce Huff. Unfortunately, it seems as though Huff is just as underrated by the Jets' coaching staff as he is by other teams.

Huff has played just 16.68 percent of the Jets' defensive snaps in 2022. That's less than the likes of Will Parks and Nathan Shepherd while only slightly more than Vinny Curry and Jacob Martin, the latter of whom was traded midseason.

Despite this, Huff has been arguably the most efficient pass rusher in the entire NFL. His 11.8 pass-rush productivity grade ranks second in the NFL while he's registering a pressure on over 20 percent of his pass-rush snaps — higher than the likes of Nick Bosa and Myles Garrett.

His 32 total pressures rank 57th in the NFL despite the fact that his 153 pass-rush snaps are good for 108th at his position. The only other player with fewer than 200 pass-rush snaps to register more than 30 pressures is Rashan Gary of the Green Bay Packers, and that's due to injury, not a lack of usage.

Huff also ranks 16th in the NFL with a whopping 9.5 sacks created despite playing significantly fewer snaps than the players around him. He's tied with Jonathan Allen, Demarcus Lawrence, and Kayvon Thibodeaux, for the record.

Huff's 27.5 pass-rush win rate is also the highest in the NFL, per PFF, ahead of both Garrett and Bosa who rank second and third, respectively. Simply put, no player has been more efficient at getting to the quarterback this season than Huff.

For whatever reason, the Jets seem intent on giving him no more than a handful of snaps per game. He hasn't played double-digit defensive snaps in a game since Week 15 and has played 20+ defensive snaps in just two games this season (none since Week 7).
