The NY Jets are less than a month away from the start of the regular season. Nearly a month of training camp practices and two preseason games have gone by, and the Jets have a clearer picture when it comes to the state of their roster.

The Jets entered the summer with a host of roster battles to monitor. From multiple starting positions to a variety of back-of-the-roster spots, the Jets had no shortage of position battles this summer.

Some of those battles have already begun to take shape. Even though we're still a little under a month out from Week 1, a few of the competitions the Jets were holding have seemingly already been decided.

Let's take a look at four Jets training camp battles that are already basically wrapped up.

4. NY Jets backup quarterback

This one has been over for a while now. The Jets technically entered the summer with a competition for their backup quarterback job between Zach Wilson and the newly-signed Tim Boyle.

Wilson was transitioning into a backup role while Boyle was signed to add a veteran with experience to the team's QB room. Boyle, however, just isn't very good. That quickly became apparent once training camp started.

The former No. 2 overall pick had his share of ups and downs, but he absolutely outplayed his competition. Boyle has had his moments, but his performances this summer have been marred by inconsistency.

If anything, Boyle was competing more for the third-string job than the backup job as of last week. He'll likely be on the roster, but it won't be as the primary backup. Wilson has that job locked down.
