It's not just pass-catchers who stand to benefit from the Rodgers acquisition. In a weird way, the man who will be backing up Rodgers in 2023 is also a winner of this trade.

Zach Wilson grew up idolizing Rodgers. He's been quoted as saying he "tried to be just like him" growing up. Now, he will have the opportunity to learn from him every day in person.

Rodgers doesn't necessarily have a reputation for being a highly-regarded mentor to young quarterbacks, but that reputation might be a little misguided. Take Jordan Love, for example.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has spoken highly of Rodgers' leadership and guidance in regard to both Love and new Jets quarterback Tim Boyle. Rodgers has even spoken about his desire to give back to younger quarterbacks in a similar way to how Brett Favre gave back to him years ago.

Rodgers is happy and willing to mentor young quarterbacks, especially someone like Wilson, who has very vocally idolized the future Hall of Famer. There is no better scenario for Wilson this season.

The former No. 2 overall pick won't be saddled with the pressure of leading a win-now team to the postseason. Instead, he'll sit and learn behind his idol, who just so happens to be one of the greatest to ever play the position.

The odds that Wilson still has a long-term future with the Jets are slim, but if there was ever a chance for him to turn his career around, this is what he needed. A fresh start. A reboot. And a dream scenario.

Zach Wilson is one of the biggest winners of the Aaron Rodgers trade.
