3 realistic trade packages the NY Jets can offer for Deebo Samuel

3. NY Jets throw in a player for Deebo Samuel
I really wanted to try and explore a trade package that included offensive tackle Mekhi Becton. It's not that the Jets are looking to trade him (nor should they be), but he is someone of value who could feasibly be moved.
However, the 49ers are pretty set at tackle with Trent Williams and Mike McGlinchey. Instead, we went with a different, much less valuable, player in wide receiver Denzel Mims.
This is essentially the Tyreek Hill proposal with a little extra incentive. The 49ers would be trading away one of the cornerstones of their offense, and while Mims doesn't come close to filling the hole that Samuel would leave, he could be a worthy flyer.
This would be a best-case scenario for the Jets. They manage to land their star receiver in Samuel for essentially the price of the Hill offer. In return, they also send Mims to San Francisco where he can look to salvage his career.
Just as a token of appreciation, the 49ers send the last pick in the entire 2022 NFL Draft to the Jets giving them the opportunity to select just their second Mr. Irrelevant in franchise history.
Mims has been putting in work this offseason and faces a crucial summer with the Jets where he will undoubtedly be fighting for a roster spot. In reality, though, he probably just needs a fresh start.
He can get that fresh start in San Francisco as a little bit of a sweetener in the Jets' trade for Deebo Samuel. This is just a variation of that first proposal, but perhaps the addition of Mims gives this package a little more long-term upside for the 49ers.
