The NY Jets are set to enter one of the most pivotal seasons in franchise history in 2023. Following years of falling short of the postseason, the Jets are hoping to finally return to the playoffs this year, and they will be led by a brand new ray of hope under center.

The arrival of Aaron Rodgers gives the Jets legitimate Super Bowl aspirations. For a team that has spent the better part of the last decade in the league's basement, that's a bold statement — but it is accurate.

The Jets may not have overhauled their roster quite as much as in recent years, but the acquisition of Rodgers more than makes up for that.

The hope is that Rodgers can take a team that was on the verge of the playoffs last season with the worst quarterback play in the NFL to new heights in 2023. That was the expectation when the Jets traded for him, and it's still the case now.

Of course, Rodgers wasn't the only notable offseason addition. Players like Allen Lazard, Will McDonald, Joe Tippmann, Al Woods, Quinton Jefferson, Adrian Amos, and others were acquired to fill significant roles this season.

That said, not every offseason addition will play a prominent role. We're not just talking about undrafted free agents here, either. A few players the Jets signed or even drafted could be in danger of missing out on the 53-man roster altogether.

Let's take a look at three players the Jets added in the offseason who might be cap casualties this summer.
