With the 2023 season quickly approaching, it's now time for the NY Jets to put this offseason in the books. From signing new players like Mecole Hardman to Allen Lazard to drafting promising prospects like Will McDonald and Joe Tippmann, the Jets had an eventful offseason.

Perhaps no move was bigger than the Jets finally landing their new quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is, without a doubt, a future Hall of Famer. His presence alone breathes new life into this organization.

The four-time MVP has one Super Bowl win under his belt. Back in 2010, Rodgers led the Packers to the promised land, winning Super Bowl MVP in the process. Arguably Rodgers' best season came in 2020 when he threw for 4,299 yards and a career-high 48 touchdowns.

What should NY Jets fans expect from Aaron Rodgers in 2023?

Rodgers is coming off an admittedly down year in 2022. With Green Bay rebuilding their wide receiver corps, they parted ways with Davante Adams in the offseason. Despite the trials and tribulations he faced, Rodgers still managed to throw for 3,695 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Putting Rodgers on the Jets is a match made in heaven for both parties. The Jets' offense is young and looking for a veteran quarterback who can actually throw the ball. Rodgers needs actually good wide receivers to catch the ball for him.

No longer throwing to the likes of Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, Rodgers is now surrounded by a rock-solid receiving corps featuring players like Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, Mecole Hardman, and even Tyler Conklin.

So, how does 2023 play out for Rodgers? Will we see an improvement from last year? In all likelihood, yes.

Despite a rough season last year, Rodgers has all the pieces in place to hopefully make a serious run at another Super Bowl ring. Most expect Rodgers to finish the year with at least 4,000 yards and throw for around 30-35 touchdowns.

This is quite a jump from his numbers last season. However, it's important to remember that Rodgers is now surrounded by a more talented receiver group than he was in Green Bay.

The Jets have a serious plan to make a run for a Super Bowl title. While this has been unheard of for the better part of the last 20 years, 2023 could be the year the Jets achieve that goal — thanks to their new quarterback.
