Week 17: Dec. 28 at Cleveland Browns (Thursday Night Football)

Fresh off last season’s miraculous comeback victory, the Jets will travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns for the second year in a row. If this year’s matchup is anything close to last year’s, we should be in for a treat.

The big difference is that both teams should have a new face at quarterback. Deshaun Watson will return for his first full season with the Browns, and he’ll square off with Aaron Rodgers and the new-look Jets.

The Browns have a competitive roster and could make some noise in a loaded AFC, but until Watson shakes off the rust he showed last season, it’s hard to trust him. Give me the Jets here — their third consecutive victory over the Browns.

Week 18: Jan. 6 or 7 at New England Patriots

The Jets haven’t won on the road in Foxboro since their 28-21 victory over the Patriots in the Divisional Round of the 2010-11 playoffs. It’s been over a decade since that game. Is this the year that the Jets finally win on the road against New England?

Simply put, it has to be. The Jets have done everything possible to dispel the “Same Old Jets” narrative that has followed the franchise for far too long. They have a young and talented roster with a future Hall of Famer at quarterback.

But until they beat the Patriots in Foxboro, that narrative will continue to exist. The Jets need this win more than any other game on their schedule, and I think it finally happens this season.

Final Record: 11-6
