2023 NY Jets schedule and predictions for all 17 games
By Justin Fried
Week 11: Nov. 19 at Buffalo Bills
This is going to be one of the most difficult games the Jets play all year. Despite the Bills losing some key players this offseason, they still have one of the most talented rosters in football.
The Jets haven’t beaten the Bills on the road since 2019, and that was a meaningless late-season game with Matt Barkley at quarterback. The last time the Jets defeated a Josh Allen-led team on the road was 2018. Elijah McGuire was the team’s leading rusher in that game, for context.
It’s never easy playing in Buffalo’s difficult road environment, and for as improved as the Jets are, I don’t think they sweep the season series against the Bills. The two AFC East powerhouses split 1-1.
Week 12: Nov. 24 vs. Miami Dolphins (Black Friday Football)
For as much attention as the Jets have gotten for improving their roster this offseason, the Dolphins likely deserve just as much credit. This is an excellent Dolphins team that could make some serious noise in the AFC East.
The Jalen Ramsey trade was one of the savviest moves of the entire offseason, Miami’s offense is riddled with explosive playmakers, and the team’s defense could be much-improved in 2023.
Dolphins fans always travel well to MetLife Stadium, so I could absolutely see Miami stealing a win over the Jets in front of their home crowd. I think these teams split the season series, but give me a Dolphins win on the road.
