2023 NY Jets schedule and predictions for all 17 games

Week 6: Oct. 15 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

We always focus on player revenge narratives, but the Jets’ matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023 will feature the often-overlooked general manager revenge game.

Joe Douglas will return to the place he called home for a few years before joining the Jets in 2019. There’s another narrative at play here as well. The Eagles are the only NFL team the Jets have never defeated.

The Eagles have beaten the Jets in all 12 meetings to this point, and unfortunately for Gang Green, home edge isn’t enough to lead them to victory this year. The Jets fall to 0-13 all-time against a fantastic Eagles team.

Week 7: BYE WEEK

Week 8: Oct. 29 at Giants

The Jets are fortunate enough to play their crosstown rivals, the New York Giants, on the “road” in 2023, although the game might as well be a neutral site matchup. There’s a lot at stake in this game.

While the Jets/Giants rivalry may not be the most intense New York rivalry in sports, the battle for New York supremacy is a real one. With Aaron Rodgers now in town, the Jets have a real opportunity to establish themselves as the kings of New York.

The Giants’ coaching staff did a phenomenal job maximizing the talent on their roster last season, but the Jets are the better team here. Expect a tightly-contested matchup with the Jets eeking out a close victory.
