Week 2: Sept. 17 at Dallas Cowboys
All eyes will be on this exciting matchup between two of the NFL’s most high-profile teams entering the 2023 season. The Jets will travel on the road to Dallas to take on Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys.
The Jets have actually gotten the better of the Cowboys in recent history. The last time the Jets lost to the Cowboys was all the way back in 2007, and the Jets have won five of their last eight meetings with “America’s Team.”
This is going to be a tough one for the Jets. I think the Cowboys come out on top at home and win their first game against the Jets in 16 years.
Week 3: Sept. 24 vs. New England Patriots
The streak has to end this year. Despite the Jets’ newfound division success last season, the Patriots still managed to sweep the season series. The Jets haven’t beaten the Patriots in a football game since their thrilling overtime victory in 2015. That’s 14 straight losses.
On paper, the Jets are a significantly more talented team than their archrivals. New England’s offense lacks the firepower the Jets have, and while their defense is talented, New York likely has a slight edge there as well.
This feels like an ultimate revenge game for the Jets. Aaron Rodgers comes to town and finally slays the beast that has been haunting the Jets for decades. Give me a definitive Jets win at home.
